The National Center for Transgender Equality Action Fund builds power for transgender people, our families, and our allies—to make our collective voice heard—so that together, we can change the landscape in this country to fully support transgender equality.

The NCTE Action Fund works to register voters, mobilize supporters, elect transgender people to office, educate and lobby legislators, and fight for transgender equality at local, state and federal levels.

In 2020, for the first time in transgender history, the NCTE Action Fund will give the trans community and our allies a serious, organized voice in the Presidential election!

Founded in large part in response to the devastating election results of 2016, the National Center for Transgender Equality Action Fund is a 501(c)(4) non-profit political advocacy organization, launched in late 2017. No longer could the organized transgender community sit on the sidelines for Presidential and other elections.

The NCTE Action Fund is affiliated with the National Center for Transgender Equality, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2003, which because of tax and election law, cannot endorse candidates. Several of the NCTE Action Fund’s founders and supporters have been involved with numerous Presidential elections and politics in their personal capacities since 2004.

In its first two years, the NCTE Action Fund focused on endorsing transgender candidates, lobbying Congress, registering transgender and allied voters, and getting them to the polls in 2018. In 2019 and 2020, the NCTE Action Fund is turning its focus to its first Presidential election.
